Broadcom
Symantec Web Security Service, CloudSOC, a cloud access security broker (CASB), and Symantec Secure Access Cloud make up Broadcom's SSE solution (for zero trust network access [ZTNA]). Broadcom is a sizable corporation with global activities and a headquarters in San Jose, California, in the United States. Large and very large businesses from a variety of industries are often its clients. With its appliance-based secure web gateway (SWG) business, Broadcom continues to have a significant position in the industry.
Since acquiring Symantec in 2019, Broadcom has concentrated on developing an enterprise software business while battling to hang onto some of the company's most valuable employees. Broadcom and Google Cloud announced new strategic collaborative alliances in April 2021. Additionally in 2021, Broadcom will release its Symantec CloudSOC Mirror Gateway, which secures unmanaged device access to software as a service (SaaS) and private apps using remote browser isolation (RBI).
Cisco
The main Cisco SSE solutions are from its Cloud Security range, which also includes Cisco Umbrella, Cloudlock, and Duo Beyond. It also provides a broad range of networking, infrastructure, and security solutions. American city of San Jose serves as the home base for Cisco. It has customers of all sizes and across all industries, and its operations are geographically diverse.
In 2021, Cisco will launch RBI capabilities and upgrade its Umbrella Cloud Security Solution with in-line DLP and an identity proofing service. A cloud-based secure managed remote access solution based on its AnyConnect VPN technology was also introduced by the company.
ForcePoint
The Cloud Security Gateway, Cloud Access Security Broker, and Private Access solutions from Forcepoint make up the SSE service's core. In addition to other security products, Forcepoint also offers firewalls and business DLP. Austin, Texas, in the United States, is home to Forcepoint. Its customers span from tiny to extremely large enterprises across several industries, and its operations are geographically diverse.
Raytheon Technologies sold Forcepoint to the private equity company Francisco Partners in January 2021. Forcepoint acquired RBI vendor Cyberinc in May 2021 and incorporated its Isla platform into its SSE offering. Forcepoint purchased Deep Secure in August 2021 in order to have access to its Content, Disarm & Reconstruction (CDR) technology. Additionally, it unveiled a brand-new agent called the Neo endpoint agent, which improves the capability of its business DLP. Forcepoint completed the acquisition of SSE provider Bitglass in October 2021. It will take time to see how this acquisition affects things, as it does with any acquisition.
Forcepoint (Bitglass)
Secure Web Gateway, Cloud Access Security Broker, and Zero Trust Network Access are its three main SSE products. Its main office is in Campbell, California, in the United States. Branch office cloud-managed SmartEdge Secure Web Gateway (SWG) virtual appliances, which offer SWG services to all devices at a branch, were introduced by Forcepoint (Bitglass) in August 2021. Additionally, it earned a FedRAMP Moderate Agency Authority to Operate (ATO) for its Total Cloud Security Platform and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 accreditation for the data security management system that underpins its CASB system. Forcepoint purchased Bitglass in October 2021. It will take time to determine how the Forcepoint purchase will manifest its consequences, like with any acquisition.
iboss
The Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) cloud platform is its primary SSE offering. Iboss, a privately held corporation with its headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts, the United States, primarily serves consumers in North America and Europe. In Asia/Pacific, it is less common. Customers for it come from several industries.
To strengthen its marketing and sales channels and product in 2021, iboss engaged a number of new executive executives from different SSE market suppliers. Iboss obtained a new round of $145 million in Series B fundraising in January 2021, this time from NightDragon and Francisco Partners. To deploy its first integrated SSE service in August 2021, iboss built a new RBI capability and stopped relying on Microsoft Cloud App Security (MCAS) for enhanced CASB functionality.
Lookout
The SSE services offered by Lookout include CASB, SWG, and ZTNA. Additionally, Lookout provides mobile endpoint security solutions. American city of San Francisco serves as the headquarters of Lookout. Its operations are mostly focused in North America and EMEA, with a lesser amount of activity in Asia/Pacific. It generally supports large and midsize businesses from a variety of industries.
Lookout bought CipherCloud in March 2021 to broaden the scope of its Mobile Endpoint Security product line and enter the SSE market. Lookout incorporated CipherCloud's SSE technology into its product in May 2021, renaming it as the company's first widely accessible integrated SSE service.
McAfee Enterprise
The SSE division of McAfee Enterprise changed its name to Skyhigh Security on March 22, 2022. The MVISION Unified Cloud Edge (UCE) service is its SSE product. Additionally, it provides endpoint security solutions and other security products like XDR. McAfee Enterprise has offices all around the world, with its main office in San Jose, California, the United States. Customers of various sizes and from all industries comprise its clientele.
The enterprise division of McAfee was acquired by Symphony Technology Group (STG) in July 2021, and McAfee Enterprise was subsequently established as a private entity. STG finalised the acquisition of FireEye in October 2021 and combined the two acquisitions into a single business. For its XDR products, which are distinct from the McAfee Enterprise SSE line, STG formed a new business unit called Trellix in January 2022.
Netskope
The Next Gen Secure Web Gateway, CASB, and Netskope Private Access are its three main SSE products, all of which are accessible as a part of the Netskope Security Cloud platform (NPA). ICONIQ Growth led a new $300 million fundraising round for Netskope in 2021. A new in-house-built FWaaS product was published as part of Netskope's platform in 2021, along with the announcement that it had bought Randed (for RBI) and integrated it into its SSE offerings. In order to provide SSPM functionality in addition to Netskope's CSPM capabilities, Kloudless was also bought by Netskope.
Palo Alto Networks

Prisma Access 2.0, which contains enhanced cloud management capabilities, DEM, an explicit proxy for its SWG, and CloudBlades to facilitate API interaction with other technologies like RBI, was introduced by Palo Alto Networks in February 2021. A single SASE SKU for SD-WAN and SSE bundles was also offered, and the SWG procedures via its cloud management console were upgraded.
Versa

In June 2021, Versa obtained series D investment of $84 million. In the fourth quarter of 2020, Versa introduced its SSE capabilities on the Versa Operating System (VOS), enabling its Versa SASE security services to be a component of a larger SASE framework.
Zscaler
Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), and Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) services are part of its main SSE package. Additionally, it provides CSPM and Zscaler Cloud Protection, which features identity-based workload segmentation. Zscaler is based in San Jose, California, in the United States. Zscaler bought Smokescreen and Trustdome, two cloud infrastructure entitlement management (CIEM) vendors, in the middle of 2021. (a vendor of deception technology). Zscaler has enhanced its CASB service over the past year by adding API connectors with more SaaS programmes, enhancing its data security capabilities, and integrating RBI.
